Departure Times

• Fishing is good most of the time, although the best time to fish for King Salmon is at sunrise or sunset. We keep our hours flexible and you will see preferred and recommended times of departure, based off of our knowledge and expertise of fish habits and current patterns.

• We will gladly add more time to a charter, if there aren’t any bookings after yours, at $60.00 per hour.
• All trip departure times will be determined by Captain Dave and provided after confirmed booking.

• Below are usual examples of departure times.
Morning trips depart between 4:00a – 6:00a
Afternoon trips depart between 11:00a – 12:00p

5 Hour Fishing Charter

Captain Dave recommends this charter for fishing in a 3 to 4 person group in May, but it is always available and an enjoyable charter year round.

6 Hour Fishing Charter

Captain Dave highly recommends this charter for ALL charters during the ENTIRE season (April 1 – October 31). When the fish go deep, we go deep, so you get more time to catch the fish you’re looking for.

8 Hour Fishing Charter

If you want the most value and the most time on the water, this is the charter for you. This charter gives us the ability to perfect the spread (how we set up our lures and bait presented to the fish) and gives you the ability to catch more fish.

License, Info, & Deposit

• Illinois 24hr Sport-Fishing licenses are required. You can easily purchase them online at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. There are different nominal fees for Resident vs Non-Resident licenses, so please see the listed site for details. Don’t forget, if you have or are getting a fishing license, you must have the Lake Michigan Salmon Stamp.

 

• We love our anglers, and although most fishing charters charge extra, we include complete rinsing, icing, & bagging of your catches on the boat.

 

• Cleaning note: 9 catches are cleaned for free. A $1.00 Cleaning Fee applies to each fish caught after #9.

 

• Ice is available at the Harbor House, at $2.00 – $3.00 a bag, for your trip home.

• We work hard to make your fishing experience the best it can be. Don’t be shy, gratuities are always appreciated.
 
• A $100 deposit is required to hold your reservation.

• A $100 deposit is required for all trips and must be received the day of confirmed booking.

• Deposit is non-refundable if trip is cancelled within 14 days or less of the scheduled date.

• A $15 administration fee will be deducted from deposit for charters cancelled prior to 14 days.

• If a trip is cut short due to extenuating circumstances, charges are no less than half the package price.
